Energy-efficient refurbishment and improving the energy efficiency of properties is the big issue in the real estate sector. Those who make the wrong decisions or make them too late can wake up later at a high price.

One of the most important modernization measures, but one that also serves to maintain and increase the value of your property, is energy-efficient refurbishment. In addition, the energy profile of a rented property - documented in the energy performance certificate - is becoming increasingly important and is even subject to legal obligations.

Who is supported?

You can claim the subsidy for energy-efficient modernization of residential buildings for which the building application or building notification was submitted before January 1, 1995.

What is supported?

The funding applies to all refurbishments that lead to the KfW Efficiency House Standard, i.e. the standards for buildings with high energy efficiency set by the KfW development bank.

The individual measures at a glance

If you want to insulate your home, replace the heating or ventilation system, replace windows or carry out any other conversion that will make your home more energy efficient, you can take advantage of the KfW development bank's Program 152.

Funding is available for all individual energy-related measures that meet the minimum technical requirements specified by KfW. It is not necessary for the refurbishment to lead to the KfW Efficiency House standard in order to receive funding.
